The Gospel, often called the "Good News," is the story of God's love and redemption for humanity through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Here's a summary of the Gospel and the steps of salvation according to the Bible:

The Gospel:
  • God's Creation: God created the universe, the Earth, and all living beings. Humans, made in His image, were the pinnacle of His creation (Genesis 1).
  • The Fall of Humanity: However, humanity disobeyed God (an act known as sin) in the Garden of Eden, resulting in a broken relationship with God and the entry of physical and spiritual death into the world (Genesis 3).
  • God's Redemptive Plan: Despite humanity's rebellion, God initiated a plan of salvation through His people, Israel, ultimately leading to the birth of Jesus Christ (Old Testament prophesies).
  • Jesus Christ's Sacrifice: Jesus, being fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life. He died on the cross, a sacrifice that paid the penalty for humanity's sins (John 3:16).
  • Resurrection and Ascension: Jesus rose from the dead, demonstrating His power over sin and death. Later, He ascended into heaven, promising to return (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Steps to Salvation:
  • Admit Sin: Acknowledge your sins and your need for God's forgiveness. The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
  • Believe in Jesus: Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for your sins and was raised from the dead. "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).
  • Confess and Repent: Confess your sins to God and turn away from them. This is known as repentance. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
  • Receive Christ: Invite Jesus Christ into your life through prayer, accept Him as your Lord and Savior, and commit to following Him. "To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12).
  • Live Out Your Faith: As a follower of Christ, seek to grow in your faith by reading the Bible, praying, participating in a local church, and sharing your faith with others.

Remember, salvation is a gift from God, and it can't be earned through our own efforts. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).
If you are ready for a life-changing experience, we recommend a prayer something like this, and you also can make it your own:

Dear God,
I know that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for all my sin. Come into my life and take control. I want to follow you all the remaining days of my life. Thank you for loving me when I didn't love you. Thank you for dying on the cross so that I could be forgiven. I love you, and I know that you love me!
Amen.
